Only include directly related mature theories, frameworks, or established research areas.
Avoid weak associations or excessive theoretical expansion.
These related theories are included primarily to provide reality-linked research anchors and observational context.
Their inclusion does not imply strict conceptual equivalence, theoretical inheritance, or direct terminology mapping.
Different theories may describe partially overlapping aspects of similar runtime phenomena from different disciplinary perspectives.
In some cases, XVort may adopt a more operationally normalized expression to describe recurring runtime phenomena observed across multiple theoretical, organizational, or engineering contexts.
Such normalization is intended only to stabilize observation targets and semantic boundaries, and should not be interpreted as redefining, replacing, or unifying existing theories.
Projection
Projection refers to the operationally accessible reality representation inside a running system.
A system does not directly interact with external reality itself.
Instead, reality becomes accessible through processes such as:
- perception
- observation
- reporting
- selection
- compression
- interpretation
- abstraction
- structural organization
These processes collectively form a limited runtime projection through which the system perceives, understands, and reacts to reality.
Projection-related concepts commonly appear in fields such as:
- cybernetics
- systems engineering
- cognitive science
- AI systems
- runtime monitoring systems
- organizational information systems
Different systems may produce different projections of the same reality, depending on their structures, observation mechanisms, operational constraints, and correction capabilities.
XVort Context (Optional)
In XVort, Projection is one of the foundational concepts for understanding long-running cognitive systems.
XVort does not assume that systems directly operate on Reality itself.
Instead, systems interact with runtime-accessible projections generated through structures such as:
- dashboards
- reports
- memory summaries
- telemetry systems
- context windows
- organizational communication
- monitoring systems
- evaluation mechanisms
These structures together form the Projection layer through which systems operationally understand reality.
Many long-running system problems are observed not directly at the Reality layer itself, but through gradual divergence between Projection and Reality.
Notes
Projection does not necessarily imply falsity.
Different systems may generate significantly different projections of the same reality.
Projection should not be treated as equivalent to Reality itself.
